Research from Harvard shows that even 10 minutes of daily mindfulness can reduce stress, improve focus, and increase empathy. Simple techniques like controlled breathing, body scans, or walking meditations are accessible and effective.
A popular starting point is the 5-5-5 method: inhale for 5 seconds, hold for 5, exhale for 5 — repeated for five minutes. Mayo Clinic now includes this as part of patient care protocols for anxiety and hypertension.
